Ramallah - Saba:
Military expert and analyst Ahmed Abdel Rahman described the Yemeni Armed Forces' missile strike on "Ben Gurion" Airport this morning as an "exceptional event" in terms of timing, location, and impact.
He emphasized that the operation carries a profound strategic message that goes beyond the strike itself.
In an exclusive statement to the "Shehab" Agency on Sunday, Abdel Rahman explained that the missile was equipped with a massive explosive warhead weighing at least half a ton, based on the crater left by the explosion, which measured approximately 25 meters in diameter. He noted that this type of missile differs from previous ones in terms of size and destructive capability.
He added that the missile successfully bypassed two of the latest Israeli and American air defense systems—a resounding failure that Israeli authorities officially acknowledged. The missile struck the heart of the airport intact, with its full body and warhead, without being intercepted.
Abdel Rahman pointed out that the attack targeted "Ben Gurion" Airport, the most important in the "enemy state," serving around four million visitors annually and acting as a lifeline for the Israeli economy. Thousands of business deals and executives pass through it, located in the "Greater Tel Aviv" area—the economic and political center of the occupation state.
Abdel Rahman argued that this missile does not merely represent a material strike but carries deep symbolic implications, proving that "Israel," despite its massive military support, is incapable of protecting its most vital facilities from missiles launched over 2,000 kilometers away.
He also highlighted the immediate economic impact of the strike, noting that several major airlines suspended flights to "Ben Gurion" Airport following the attack—an additional blow to the Israeli economy and its "security prestige, which has long boasted the ability to strike anywhere."
