Sana'a - Saba:
A meeting in the capital Sana'a on Sunday, chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah, discussed the coordination mechanism between service agencies for implementing infrastructure projects.
The meeting, which included the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Quhaim; the Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Saif; the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Mohammed al-Mahdi; the Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Ubad; the First Deputy Mayor, Khaled al-Madani; and a number of officials from relevant agencies, reviewed the main problems, including uncoordinated excavations and construction around electrical power systems and under high-voltage power lines.
It also addressed the issue of installing billboards that conflict with the electrical and telecommunications networks, as well as the damage caused to the asphalt road network during sewage works or other service extensions.
The minutes of the agreement regarding the coordination mechanism included the legal procedures that coordinate and regulate the work of relevant entities during the implementation of various service and development projects.
The meeting emphasized that this mechanism aims to enhance coordination between government agencies to ensure the implementation of infrastructure projects (maintenance, improvements, excavations, new expansion construction) without overlap and without harming public facilities.
