The Freedom Flotilla Coalition said that Malta is blocking access to the aid ship "Conscious - Global Conscience," bound for the Gaza Strip, after it was attacked by Israeli drones two days ago.
Reuters quoted the Freedom Flotilla Coalition on Sunday as saying that its ship has been detained in international waters since it was attacked by two drones in the early hours of May 2.
It noted that volunteers from 13 countries attempted to reach the ship on Friday and Saturday, but the Maltese military forced them to return under threat of arrest.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition held Israel responsible for the drone attack on the "Conscious - Global Conscience," which was heading to Gaza.
At dawn on May 2, Israeli drones targeted the Freedom Flotilla ship "Consciousness," as it sailed in international waters off the coast of Malta, as part of a voyage that had departed from Tunisia. Towards the Gaza Strip to break the blockade.
The ship was carrying 30 international activists when it was hit several times, causing a fire in its bow and damage to its hull. No injuries were reported among the crew.
