"We Will Face Escalation with Escalation" football championship kicked off at al-Sabah School Stadium in al-Hawak district in Hodeida province.
The championship is organized by Hodeida province Youth and Sports Office, under the supervision of the governorate leadership and in coordination with the Mobilization Division.
More than 26 sports teams are participating in the knockout tournament, part of a series of popular sporting events organized as part of the "Support and Assistance to Gaza" campaign. This event affirms the steadfast popular stance in confronting the US-Israeli aggression and its proxies in the region.
The competition began with Santos defeating Jeel al-Sabaliyah 2-1 in the opening match, while Al-Ikhwa Academy won its match against Zamalek Al-Hawak on penalties (4-3), following a positive draw in both halves.
The Pele Academy team defeated al-Mawshaki Academy on penalties (3-2) after a 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, al-Ansar defeated al-Sabalia Brothers 2-0 in a match that witnessed a remarkable crowd attendance.
In the same context, the "General Mobilization to Confront the Invaders" tournament kicked off at al-Qalaa Stadium in al-Hawak district. The tournament is organized by the Sports for All Federation, under the supervision of the Youth and Sports Office, and features 26 teams competing in a knockout format.
The opening match saw Rashid al-Hawak defeat Shabab al-Sour 3-1, amidst a large crowd, reflecting the widespread community engagement with sporting activities that support national and patriotic causes.
