Essam Youssef, head of the Global Popular Committee to break the Siege on Gaza, stated that the Zionist enemy’s deliberate starvation of the people in Gaza Strip constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity. He emphasized that these actions "cannot go unpunished, no matter how far the Zionist enemy persists in its tyranny and arrogance."
In a statement to Sanad News Agency, Youssef said, "The truth, now clearer than sunlight, is that there is a systematic Israeli policy aimed at starving the entire population of the Gaza Strip," describing it as a "dangerous precedent that must not be allowed to continue under any circumstances."
He pointed out that what is happening in Gaza amounts to "genocide," demanding urgent action from the international community, as well as Arab and Islamic nations, to halt it by all possible means—whether legal or legitimate.
In a related context, Youssef condemned the Zionist attack on a ship from the Freedom Flotilla, calling it a "blatant violation and aggression against sovereign states that have diplomatic relations with Israel."
