Kuwait Hospital in Rafah: Ability to Continue Providing Healthcare Services Is at Risk
[03/ May/2025]
Rafah - (Saba):
The Kuwait Specialized Hospital in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, warned of an imminent collapse of the healthcare system due to the severe shortage of medicines, medical supplies, and food needed to care for patients, in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression, the closure of crossings, and the prevention of aid entry.

The hospital said in a statement that the Gaza Strip suffers from a severe shortage of more than 75% of essential medicines, which has led to a serious decline in the ability to provide medical services to patients. It emphasized that the ability to continue providing healthcare services is at risk.

It indicated that the remaining stock of medicines and medical supplies is not sufficient for more than one week, threatening the cessation of most medical services at the hospital if urgent and immediate intervention is not taken.

The statement said, "We are sounding the alarm over the severe shortage of most medicines, essential foods, and medical supplies."
