Ramallah - (Saba):
Israeli enemy forces continue their aggression against the city of Tulkarm and its two camps in the northern West Bank for the 97th consecutive day, and for the 84th day against the "Nour Shams" camp, amid an ongoing field escalation that includes large-scale military operations.
Press sources reported that enemy forces continue, around the clock, to send military reinforcements, including vehicles and infantry units, to the city, its two camps, and its suburbs. These reinforcements include live ammunition and sound bombs, and repeated raids on homes and shops, searching and destroying their contents. They also interrogate and abuse residents, and arrest a number of them.
Throughout the night, the city witnessed active activity by occupation forces and infantry units, patrolling the streets and neighborhoods, obstructing the movement of residents and their vehicles, particularly in the Eastern District, the center of Gamal Abdel Nasser Square, the government-run Martyr Thabet Thabet Roundabout, Nablus Street, and Shuweika Roundabout. Meanwhile, occupation forces stormed the Dhnaba suburb, patrolling its streets amid search and combing operations, while restrictions on the movement of residents and vehicles continued.
In the same context, the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps and their surroundings witnessed a heavy deployment of enemy forces, amid heavy gunfire and sound bombs, with frequent explosions being heard. A tight siege was imposed on these camps, with entrances closed with earth mounds. This was accompanied by raids and the destruction of homes, with the remaining residents forced to evacuate at gunpoint.
On Friday, Israeli forces pursued hundreds of Palestinians as they attempted to enter the two camps to evacuate their belongings from their homes threatened with demolition, despite prior permission. Israeli forces fired live ammunition at them, detained dozens of them, including women and children, and arrested several young men, including two journalists.
This comes after Israeli forces notified 106 buildings and homes last Thursday evening that they would demolish them within 24 hours, including 58 buildings in Tulkarm camp and 48 homes in Nour Shams camp. This comes at a time when the ongoing 97-day offensive has forced the displacement of more than 4,200 families from the two camps, comprising more than 25,000 Palestinians. In addition, 396 homes have been completely destroyed and 2,573 partially destroyed, while entrances and alleyways remain blocked with earth mounds.
Israeli forces continue to seize homes and residential buildings on Nablus Street and the adjacent Northern Neighborhood, transforming them into military barracks after forcibly evacuating their residents. Heavy military vehicles and bulldozers are deployed in the vicinity.
This ongoing aggression has resulted in the deaths of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have also been injured and arrested, and infrastructure has been extensively destroyed. Homes, shops, and vehicles have been subjected to widespread destruction, including partial and total demolition, arson, vandalism, looting, and theft.
This ongoing aggression is part of Israel's escalating policy in the West Bank, targeting Palestinians with various forms of repression, including arrests, demolitions, and forced displacement, as part of plans aimed at imposing control over the land and Judaizing it.
