The International Red Cross said the humanitarian response in Gaza is on the verge of complete collapse.
In a statement issued on Friday, the International Red Cross said that the deteriorating security situation in the Gaza Strip is severely hampering the work of its staff and partners.
It stressed the need to respect and protect medical personnel and facilities in the Gaza Strip under all circumstances.
The Red Cross called for allowing aid into the Gaza Strip and the release of prisoners.
It warned that without immediate action, Gaza will descend into chaos that humanitarian efforts will be unable to alleviate.
It added that civilians in Gaza have been left without the basic necessities necessary for survival.
It stressed that without the immediate resumption of aid deliveries, it will be impossible to continue implementing its programs in the Gaza Strip.
