A blast in a major natural gas pipeline in Egypt has left several people injured and multiple cars burned on a nearby road.
According to Russia Today, the gas pipeline explosion occurred on the Oasis Road in 6th October City, Giza Governorate. Flames erupted, and the fire engulfed at least four vehicles, leaving seven people wounded.
Civil protection forces, supported by fire trucks and ambulances, arrived at the explosion site and began efforts to control and contain the blaze amid tight security measures.
Cairo 24 reported that seven people were injured in the fire that broke out on Oasis Road near Nawal University, after several cars caught fire due to a gas leak caused by a rupture in one of the area's gas lines.
Bloggers circulated footage showing moments of the explosion, with flames rising high into the air.
