Hodeida Scholars hold meeting coinciding with Al-Sarkah anniversary

An expanded meeting of scholars from the southern district of Hodeida province was held on Wednesday in Zabid district, coinciding with Al-Sarkah anniversary of the "Scream Against the Arrogant."

The meeting, attended by scholars, preachers, social figures, and religious leaders, emphasized Yemen’s steadfast stance in supporting the Palestinian cause and rejecting normalization with Zionist projects. Governor Abdullah Atifi stated that this gathering takes place amid escalating U.S. aggression against Yemen due to its principled positions.

Atifi affirmed that the "Scream Against the Arrogant" remains an expression of awareness, insight, and a principled stance transcending geographical boundaries to support the nation’s causes, foremost among them Palestine. He praised the role of scholars and preachers in confronting brutal aggression over the past years, commending their efforts in raising societal awareness and countering enemy propaganda.

The governor urged intensified efforts to expose the enemy’s falsehoods, amplify public awareness, and reinforce the culture of resistance. He also condemned the U.S. aggression’s brutal crime against African migrants at a shelter center in Saada, stressing that such atrocities reflect the coalition’s ongoing violations against civilians.

Sheikh Ali Sowmel, head of the Scholars’ Unit in the province, emphasized the scholars’ vital role in guiding society and upholding faith-based principles that reject injustice and aggression. He described the "Scream" as a comprehensive liberation project.

A statement issued by the meeting affirmed that the Palestinian cause is just and legitimate, demanding full support from the Islamic nation. It called for expanding popular and official efforts to confront the Zionist entity and its arrogant allies.

The statement highlighted Yemen’s suffering due to its unwavering support for Palestine, considering it a source of pride for the Yemeni people, who will not retreat despite challenges. Scholars were urged to mobilize society, raise awareness about the dangers of collaborating regimes, promote boycotts of U.S. , Israeli products as a religious and moral duty.

Neighboring Arab countries, particularly Egypt and Jordan, were called upon to open safe passages for mujahideen to confront the Zionist enemy, warning against complacency in this historic phase.

The scholars saluted the legendary resilience of the Palestinian people in their battle for dignity , freedom despite siege and occupation crimes. They fully authorized leader Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi to take necessary strategic measures against U.S.-Israeli conspiracies.

The statement urged scholars worldwide to issue fatwas advocating jihad and boycott, stressing that resistance is the only path against tyranny. It reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering stance in defending Palestine and Islamic sanctities, no matter the sacrifices.
