Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip Dr. Munir al-Barash said on Wednesday that the Zionist enemy is annihilating the Palestinian race by denying water and food to the people of Gaza and depriving one million children of life-saving aid.
In press statements, al-Barash explained that more than 40,000 children in the Gaza Strip have been orphaned, and that 100 children have died while waiting for the crossing to open.
He pointed out that more people are being lost to doctors as a result of the indirect consequences of the war than have been killed by Zionist enemy fire.
He pointed out that 20 hospitals are partially operating out of 38 in the Gaza Strip, calling on international organizations to fulfill their duty.
He added, "We are facing a very serious crisis, with children and pregnant women being the most affected."
Al-Barash indicated that the Zionist enemy has arrested more than 360 health workers in the Gaza Strip.
He considered that the crossings have exacerbated the deterioration of the situation in the Gaza Strip, particularly in hospitals. For the 44th consecutive day, the Zionist enemy forces have resumed their brutal aggression against civilians and displaced persons in the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the commission of war crimes and heinous massacres.
The death toll from the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 52,400 martyrs and 118,014 wounded since October 7, 2023.
