Gaza - Saba:
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, released a video titled “The Only Path”, focusing on Israeli captives held by the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.
The video reaffirms that “the only solution to release the captives held in Gaza is through a prisoner exchange deal with the Palestinian resistance.”
The footage includes scenes from settler protests demanding such a deal, along with excerpts from speeches by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he vowed to retrieve the captives by force.
One of the captured Israeli soldiers, Barun Barslavsky, also appears in the video, stating earlier this month that “Netanyahu has his blood on his hands if no captives are returned through military pressure,” urging him to stop lying.
The video also recalls a past speech by the late Abu Hamza, spokesperson for the Al-Quds Brigades, in which he said, “The only path to retrieve your captives is to withdraw from Gaza, cease the aggression, and pursue a serious exchange deal with the Palestinian resistance.”
The video further features previous pleas from other captives shown in videos over recent months, calling on U.S. President Donald Trump to act on his promises to secure their release, both before and after his election.
Since March 2, Israeli authorities have shut down Gaza’s border crossings, halting the entry of food, medical aid, and supplies, causing a sharp deterioration in humanitarian conditions, as confirmed by government, rights-based, and international reports. This came as Israel violated the ceasefire agreement signed with the resistance, which included terms for a prisoner exchange.
While the Palestinian resistance factions complied with the first phase of the agreement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, wanted by international justice, has reneged on initiating the second phase.
