The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces have taken control of the town of Dorozhovka in the Kharkiv region of eastern Ukraine, as part of ongoing military operations in the area.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry stated that "units of the Russian Western Group carried out offensive operations leading to the capture of the town." It added that Ukrainian forces suffered over 1,100 casualties, along with the destruction of military equipment, including armored vehicles, troop carriers, and artillery. Additionally, ammunition depots and electronic warfare stations were targeted.
The statement noted that Russian forces downed a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet and destroyed 189 drones. Airstrikes and missile attacks were also launched against military infrastructure, including airports, drone factories, and storage facilities, as well as a fuel depot belonging to Ukrainian forces
