The Secretary of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Obad, inspected today the progress of the rehabilitation and restoration project of 20th Street in Ma’in District, funded by the local authority.
Dr. Obad, accompanied by the Deputy Secretary for the Works and Projects Sector, Engineer Abdul Karim Al-Houthi, and the district director, Abdul Malik Al-Radhi, reviewed the paving and restoration works, including filling potholes with asphalt as part of the project being implemented by the Executive Unit for the Construction and Maintenance of Roads and Public Places in the Capital Secretariat.
They were briefed by the Deputy Director of the Executive Unit, Engineer Ali Muharraqah, on the progress of the project, which starts from Sixty Street, passing through the 16th Street and Ha’il intersection, and continues to the Zira’ah Street intersection, covering a length of 1,850 meters. The restoration work includes an estimated 55 tons of asphalt, covering an area of 700 square meters.
The Capital Secretary stressed the need to accelerate the pace of work and complete the project quickly, while adhering to engineering specifications and quality standards, to ensure the durability and safety of this vital street and to facilitate traffic flow.
