Ramallah - Saba:
The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Commission has revealed that 16 detainees in Megiddo Prison are facing isolation and hunger under difficult detention conditions.
The commission's lawyer reported, on Wednesday, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), that 16 other detainees are held in isolation in Megiddo Prison, where they are subjected to continuous beatings and provocative and harmful searches.
Additionally, the lights are kept on 24 hours a day to deprive them of sleep, and the food provided to them is very poor both in quality and quantity, leading most detainees to lose significant amounts of weight.
The commission pointed out that this policy has escalated since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, as a form of retaliation against the detainees and a slow form of killing them.
