The Cancer Control Fund condemned the American aggression targeting Al-Rasool Al-Azam Oncology Hospital in Saada for the second time, describing it as a grave and brutal crime that reflects the attackers' moral and humanitarian degradation.
The statement affirmed that the continued bombing of the hospital, less than a week after it was previously hit by 13 airstrikes, aims to destroy medical infrastructure and deprive cancer patients of treatment. This act constitutes a war crime under Article 8 of the Rome Statute.
It emphasized that these attacks are not just airstrikes, but systematic executions, intended to eliminate hope and wipe out life amid a suffocating blockade. The statement held the United States legally and morally responsible for this crime, calling on the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and the Red Cross to take urgent action to stop the systematic targeting of medical facilities.
Furthermore, the statement urged Islamic nations and free people worldwide to take a firm and effective stance, stressing that silence in the face of such crimes is complicity and partnership in the atrocity. The Cancer Control Fund reaffirmed its commitment to serving patients and continuing its humanitarian mission despite the destruction, asserting that bombings will not extinguish hope or break the resolve of the free.
