Mexico wins CONCACAF Nations League title for first time in history

The Mexican national football team won the CONCACAF Nations League title for the first time in its history, after defeating its counterpart, Panama, 2-1 in the final match held in the United States.

Fulham striker Raúl Jiménez opened the scoring for Mexico early in the eighth minute. However, Panama equalized through Adalberto Carrasquilla in the 45+2 minute, ending the first half in a draw.

In the 92nd minute, Jiménez scored a late goal from a penalty kick, giving Mexico the coveted title. Jiménez also shone in the semi-finals, scoring both goals in Mexico's 2-0 victory over Canada.

Panama, meanwhile, pulled off a major upset by eliminating the United States, the three-time champions, with a 1-0 victory.
In the third-place match, Canada defeated the United States 2-1 to claim the bronze medal.

With this victory, Mexico achieves a historic achievement, while Panama continues to demonstrate its progress in continental football.
