Sana'a – SABA:

The Imam Zaid bin Ali Cultural Foundation, in collaboration with the General Authority for Books, organized a book signing event for "The First Saudi Aggression Against Yemen and the Two Holy Mosques (1211-1226 AH / 1796-1811 AD)" by researcher Brigadier General Adnan Qasim Qaflah.

The event was attended by several officials and researchers. Abdulrahman Murad, Head of the General Authority for Books, stated that the book’s release coincides with National Resilience Day and sheds light on the long-standing Saudi aggression against Yemen, emphasizing the importance of reviving historical awareness to counter intellectual and cultural invasions.

Historian Dr. Mohammed Al-Ahnoumi described the book as an important documentation of a critical phase in Yemen’s history and a valuable addition to Yemeni and Islamic libraries, highlighting the ongoing Saudi-Wahhabi conflict. Researcher Anas Al-Qadhi also praised the book’s engaging narrative style, which combines academic precision with a compelling storytelling approach.

Author Brigadier General Qaflah explained that the history of Yemen and the Arab region has been distorted and manipulated, asserting that the first Saudi aggression was the key to understanding the motives behind the current Saudi-American aggression. The book is structured into four main chapters:

1. The Emergence of the Wahhabi Doctrine and the First Saudi State.

2. The Competition of Major Powers Over the Arab Region.

3. The Aggression Against Yemen and the Two Holy Mosques.

4. The Fall of the First Saudi State.

The event concluded with literary discussions emphasizing the book’s importance as a reliable historical source and a significant reference for researchers, offering a deeper understanding of regional conflicts.
