Moscow - Saba:
The Russian Investigative Committee announced the results of its investigation into the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack on Saturday, indicating that the attack was planned by intelligence services of an unspecified "unfriendly state" with the aim of destabilizing the situation in Russia.
Svetlana Petrenko, the official spokeswoman for the Russian Investigative Committee, said in press statements, according to Sputnik, that: "Based on the evidence collected, the investigation has concluded that the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall was planned and organized by the intelligence services of an unfriendly country with the aim of destabilizing Russia. Members of an international terrorist organization were recruited to carry it out."
The spokeswoman confirmed that the investigation of 19 individuals accused of the terrorist attack had been completed, indicating that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack were identified and arrested in record time, and that other accomplices were subsequently arrested.
The spokeswoman indicated that the terrorist attack was directly carried out by six Central Asian citizens, some of whom used pseudonyms. She explained that they "are abroad and therefore were arrested in absentia and placed on wanted lists."
A terrorist attack took place at the Crocus Concert Hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, on March 22. Attackers opened fire with automatic weapons on those inside the building and set the hall on fire, killing 145 people.
