The Economy, Industry and Investment Office in Hodeidah Governorate seized 84 ration violations during a market control campaign during the month of Ramadan, targeting 509 shops. The results showed the commitment of 298 shops, while 127 circulars were directed to correct violations.
The violations included failure to declare prices, raising prices, selling damaged goods, lack of weight of bread, non-conformity with specifications, poor storage, and non-compliance with health requirements. The office also carried out a campaign on meat markets, restaurants and ice factories to control prices and ensure compliance with standards.
The director of the office stressed the continuation of monitoring campaigns throughout the Ramadan in cooperation with local authorities and security agencies, calling on citizens to report violations, stressing that strict measures should be taken against violators to ensure market stability and protect consumers.
