Bayda: Community Initiative paves

Officials from the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit has inspected "Aqbat al-Quwwa" paving project in Maswara district in Bayda province, a project being implemented through community initiatives and supported by the Interventions Unit.

Unit's representative Mohammed Nashwan in Dhamar and Bayda visited the site with Ali Taqdamah, Director of Initiatives in Maswara district, and Engineer Marwan Mohammed, Director of Public Relations and Media for the Interventions Unit.

Nashwan reported that the first phase of the project, which connects Maswara district in Bayda province and Markha al-Ulya district in Shabwa province, is underway. So far, 400 meters in length and five meters in width have been completed, with 1,800 square meters of paving, representing a 60% completion rate. The project is expected to benefit over 12,513 residents from both Bayda and Shabwa.

He praised the collaborative efforts of Shabwa and Bayda communities, highlighting their cooperation as a model for serving the people of both provinces. He emphasized the community's active participation as a testament to their commitment to development.

Nashwan reaffirmed the Interventions Unit's commitment to supporting road infrastructure and other development projects across all districts.

Engineer Marwan Mohammed emphasized the visit's purpose of showcasing the community's role in initiating and implementing projects, especially during the country's challenging circumstances. He stressed that these initiatives deserve appreciation and support.
