Kashima Antlers topped the Japanese Football League after defeating host Kashiwa Reysol by three goals to one in the match that brought them together today, Saturday, in the fifth round of the competition.
Kashima Antlers' hat-trick was scored by Leo Seara in the 26th, 50th and 62nd minutes, while Kashiwa Reysol's only goal was scored by Tojiro Kubo in the 57th minute.
With this win, Kashima Antlers raised their score to 12 points at the top of the standings, one point ahead of Shonan Bellmare, and two points ahead of Sanfrecce Hiroshima. On the other hand, Kashiwa Reysol's score stopped at ten points in fourth place.
In the rest of today's round matches, Machida Zelvia defeated Yokohama FC 2-0, Gamba Osaka overcame Shimizu S-Pulse 1-0, and with the same result, Urawa Red Diamonds defeated Fajianao Okayama.
Cerezo Osaka also tied with Nagoya Grampus 1-1, and with a score of (2-2) Tokyo FC tied with Shonan Bellmare, and Albirex Niigata tied with Tokyo Verdy.
