Residents of al-Jarbashiyyah Center in Bait al-Faqih district of Hodeida province have launched a community initiative to fill and level the 10-kilometer al-Faqihiyah - al-Jarbashiyyah road.
Engineer Hilal al-Jashari, a development initiative specialist, highlighted the road's importance in connecting numerous villages and districts, including al-Taraf al-Shami, Bani Maqbool, and al-Waariyah, serving over 200 villages. The road also links the district to Al-Mansouriyah and traverses fertile agricultural land, promoting agricultural and economic development.
He emphasized the need for support from authorities and emergency units, requesting diesel and equipment to expedite the project.
Al-Jashari praised the community's solidarity, including sheikhs, dignitaries, and farmers, in implementing the initiative, demonstrating their awareness and community responsibility.
The initiative led to the formation of a community committee for road management and maintenance, and the establishment of a fund for regional development projects.
