Taiz deputy governor visits wheat pilot project in Khadeer

Taiz - Saba:

Taiz deputy governor for Development Affairs, Abdul-Wasie Al-Shamsi, and the head of the Agricultural Production Development Sector, Samir Al-Hanani, on Tuesday reviewed the success of the wheat cultivation experiment in the Dabwan area in Khadir District.

Al-Shamsi and Al-Hanani, along with the head of the agricultural sector in the governorate, Eng. Abdullah Al-Jundi, the Director General of Social Affairs, Majed Al-Barkani, the Coordinator of the Binyan Foundation, Iyad Awhaj, and the Executive Director of the Agricultural Cooperative Union Branch, Amer Al-Ahdal, reviewed the type and quality of the wheat crop that was planted.

They stressed the importance of transferring this successful experiment and generalizing it to the rest of the areas in the district and other districts, as wheat is among the priorities that contribute to achieving self-sufficiency and food stability.

They considered this experiment an important message confirming the suitability and fertility of the soil and its ability to produce and host various types of agricultural crops, including wheat, calling on all farmers to pay attention to planting and producing basic crops of grains and legumes to achieve self-sufficiency.

They were accompanied on the visit by the Deputy Director General of Social Affairs, Qaid Al-Nahal, and the Director of the Agriculture Branch in the district, Abdullah Al-Barti.
