A meeting in Haifan district of Taiz province on Tuesday discussed ways to activate the multi-purpose Haifan Agricultural Cooperative Society.
The meeting, attended by government officials, representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, and members of the cooperative, focused on: addressing the challenges and obstacles facing the cooperative's work, developing and implementing a plan of action for the cooperative, training members of the cooperative and qualifying them to effectively manage and operate the cooperative, mobilizing community participation and support for the cooperative's activities, seeking support from government agencies to assist the cooperative in its work.
The meeting emphasized the importance of the cooperative in promoting agricultural development, improving the livelihoods of farmers, and reducing reliance on imports.
