Moscow - Saba: Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov warned on Monday that US policy undermines international nuclear non-proliferation regime.
Ryabkov said at a press conference held in Moscow that "the policy pursued by Washington poses a major challenge to preventing the spread of nuclear weapons worldwide. On the one hand, we are witnessing a clear weakness in nuclear weapons control, largely due to the participation of NATO countries and other US allies in the so-called joint nuclear missions and collective nuclear planning missions. On the other hand, these same countries are exploiting the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty - especially its review process - to achieve political goals that have nothing to do with preventing the spread of nuclear weapons."
