Sa'ada province on Sunday hosted a central event to mark the annual anniversary of the martyrdom of President Saleh Ali al-Sammad.
The gathering, attended by senior officials including Shura Council member Hadi al-Hamzi and Secretary-General of the province Mohammed al-Emad, celebrated al-Sammad’s legacy as a leader of exceptional character and unwavering commitment to his cause.
Dr. Abdulrahim al-Humran, Rector of Sa'ada University, praised al-Sammad’s courage and dedication, describing him as a model for the Quranic movement. He highlighted al-Sammad’s fearlessness in the face of death and his ultimate sacrifice against what he termed the "American enemy," calling it a pivotal moment for the movement.
The event also emphasized al-Sammad’s loyalty to Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi which shaped his active role in the jihadist struggle.
