Sana'a - Saba:

The Yemeni University in Sana'a on Wednesday organized a cultural event in honor of the anniversary of the martyr leader, Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi.

During the event, cultural activist Saleh al-Shami highlighted the virtues of the martyr leader, emphasizing his forward-thinking vision regarding the plans and conspiracies of the American and Israeli enemies and the dangers these posed to the Islamic nation.

He pointed out that the martyr leader had a global outlook and foresaw the necessity of standing against the forces of tyranny and arrogance, long before the full extent of the American and Israeli agenda in the region became apparent.

Al-Shami stressed that Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi’s approach was vital at a time when many nations and regimes were failing, with some even rushing to normalize relations with Israeli aggression.

He noted that the pride and dignity the nation enjoys today are due to the sacrifices of the martyrs, especially the martyr leader, whose early efforts were key in achieving liberation from external control and securing the country’s pride, dignity, and independence. His sacrifices were further reflected in Yemen's strong support for the Palestinian people and the resistance in Gaza.

At the event, which was attended by the University’s Secretary-General, Dr. Ali Al-Omari, and the deans of various colleges, student Yahya Mahdi spoke about the significance of the Quranic project initiated by the martyr leader.

He highlighted the leader’s efforts to instill a culture of jihad and martyrdom, emphasizing the importance of insight, awareness, and trust in God in shaping the resilience and determination of society.
