The Zionist enemy authorities notified the residents of the village of al-Nu'man (Khallet al-Nu'man) in Bethlehem Sunday to demolish all the houses in the village, in preparation for annexing it to the borders of the occupied city of Jerusalem.
According to the website (Palestine Online), director of the office of the Separation Wall and Settlement Affairs Authority in Bethlehem Hassan Breijieh said that "employees of al-Quds Municipality affiliated with the occupation stormed the village and distributed notices to the residents to demolish 45 houses in the village, which represents the total number of houses in it."
Breijieh warned of a Zionist plan to annex the village's lands to the occupied al-Quds Municipality.
The head of al-Nu'man village council, Jamal al-Dar'awi, said that "the demolition decisions came under the pretext of lack of a license, knowing that the village was built before 1948, and the last house was built in 1993."
According to documentation by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the Zionist enemy army demolished 1,058 Palestinian facilities in Area C during 2024, including 192 inhabited homes.
