Washington-Saba:
The White House confirmed that what is required "urgently", as it put it, is to extend the deadline for the Zionist withdrawal from Lebanon.. stressing that "there is an urgent need to extend the ceasefire for a short, temporary period."
The White House announced, according to the spokesman for the National Security Council, in a statement last night, that Washington "continues to work closely with regional partners to complete the extension of the ceasefire in Lebanon," which was reached on November 27, 2024.
The White House welcomed the withdrawal of the Zionist enemy forces from several areas, southern Lebanon.. indicating that President Donald Trump is committed to "ensuring the return of the Zionists to the north, with the support of the President of the Lebanese Republic and the Lebanese government."
Earlier on Friday, the office of the Prime Minister of the Zionist entity, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced that his forces will not withdraw completely from southern Lebanon after the expiration of the 60-day deadline.
The Zionist enemy claimed that "the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon stipulates that the gradual withdrawal of the Zionist army forces will be implemented within 60 days, noting that the withdrawal process may take more than 60 days."
Netanyahu's office claimed, in a statement, that "the withdrawal of the Zionist army is conditional on the deployment of the Lebanese army in southern Lebanon, and its full and effective implementation of the agreement, while Hezbollah withdraws beyond the Litani River." Alleging that "the agreement has not been fully implemented by the Lebanese state."
Accordingly, Netanyahu's office announced that "the gradual withdrawal of the Zionist army will continue in full coordination with the United States."
