The head of the media office in Gaza, Salama Maarouf, revealed, on Thursday evening, the mechanism for the return of displaced Palestinians in vehicles to the governorates of Gaza and the North.
"Maarouf" explained via his Facebook page that the movement of cars for those returning to Gaza and the North will begin next Sunday and will be from Salah al-Din Street and in one direction only.
Hamas published on its official website, to Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, important points regarding the ceasefire agreement, most notably "It is scheduled on the seventh day of the agreement (January 25, 2025), after the end of the prisoner exchange process that day, and the occupation completes its withdrawal from the Rashid Street "Al-Bahr" axis.
It added: "Internally displaced pedestrians will be allowed to return north without carrying weapons and without inspection via Rashid Street, with freedom of movement between the south and north of the Gaza Strip, and vehicles (of all types) will be allowed to return north of the Netzarim axis after the vehicles are inspected.
It added: "On the twenty-second day of the agreement, internally displaced persons will be allowed to return north from Salah al-Din Street without inspection."
Hamas and the Palestinian resistance are scheduled to hand over the second batch of occupation prisoners, "four female prisoners," next Saturday.
On Sunday evening, from the Saraya junction in the middle of the Gaza Strip, the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement in Gaza City, handed over the three "Israeli" female prisoners to the International Red Cross in preparation for their transfer to the occupied entity, as part of the first phase of the prisoner exchange deal that extends for 42 days.
