New York - Saba:
Today, Saturday, the Euro-Mediterranean Observatory for Human Rights considered the announcement of the "occupied enemy '" the opening of an underground prison in the city of Ramla, and the display of scenes of Palestinian prisoners inside it in harsh humanitarian conditions that reflects an underestimation of the international justice system and the result of a long history of impunity.
The observatory said in a statement, that the Israeli prisons and camps were designed as tools in itself for Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
And he saw the "Mediterranean", he added, that videos showed the detainees bound inside cells that the sun does not enter and closed with iron gates and without any bed or covers, a violation of international laws related to prisoners.
It continued: 'The Israeli claim that the prison is dedicated to the most dangerous detainees does not justify the violation of the rules of international law related to families and arrest, which is obligated to treat all prisoners in humanitarian treatment without exception.
It pointed out that 'Israel' used the elite membership charge of Palestinian factions for thousands of detainees from Gaza and subjected them to brutal torture, then released them, confirming that this charge was false and was used as a cover for torture and revenge.
It pointed out that 'Israel' uses prisons as part of an organized process to strip Palestinian prisoners and detainees of their humanity, violate their various rights, and degrade their dignity.
It continued: 'We received dozens of certificates from detainees, who are released, indicating their detention in open places surrounded by barbed wire in desert places or inside narrow cells without any ventilation port with bad detention conditions and an almost complete absence of any facilities or services.
The "Euro-Mediterranean" stated that the occupation forces are holding more than 10,400 Palestinian prisoners in their prisons, in addition to thousands of the people of the Gaza Strip whose number or places of detention are known at a time when continuing the crime of enforced disappearance against them.
It indicated that the occupation forces have killed at least 60 Palestinians since October 7, 2023, in prisons, and most of them were martyred after several weeks or the most famous indicating that there is the possibility of other victims that Israel hides their martyrdom and the details of the killing.
It stressed that Israeli crimes against prisoners from Gaza constitute war crimes, crimes against humanity, and acts of genocide committed by Israel against the Palestinian people in the Strip.
"All relevant states and international entities should take immediate and effective action to stop the systematic and widespread crimes of killing, torture and other grave violations committed by Israel against Palestinian prisoners and ensure that they are held in conditions that ensure humane treatment."
