The Russian Defense Ministry announced today, Tuesday, that the Russian air defense systems destroyed 68 Ukrainian drones last night over Russian territory.
The Russian Sputnik Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "Last night, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks using drones against targets on Russian territory were stopped."
The statement added: "The air defense systems on duty destroyed 68 drones, as 25 drones were shot down over the Bryansk region, 17 over the Republic of Crimea, 11 over the Kuban, 10 over the Smolensk region, two over the Tver region, one over the territory of the Rostov region, one over the territory of the Kursk region, and one over the territory of the Kaluga region."
The Ukrainian Armed Forces target, almost daily, the Russian border areas in Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Voronezh regions with drones and missiles, with the aim of sowing terror among civilians. In turn, the Russian forces continue to carry out their special military operation, with the aim of disarming Ukraine, eliminating threats to Russia's security through it, and protecting civilians in the Donbas region, who have been persecuted by the Kiev regime for years.
