A report by the US Department of Defense submitted to Congress revealed that in mid-2024, China had more than 600 nuclear warheads, and by 2030, their number will exceed 1,000.
The report stated: "The US Department of Defense estimates that China has more than 600 operational nuclear warheads in mid-2024. It is estimated that the number is likely to exceed 1,000 warheads by 2030, and this arsenal will continue to grow until at least 2035."
