The Education Sector in Capital Secretariat, in cooperation with the General Authority for Martyrs' Families Welfare, organized on Tuesday an event honoring the winners of the first methodological and cultural competition for the children of martyrs in all public and private schools.
At the event, the directors of women's development in the Secretariat, Ibtisam Al-Muhtouri, the Department of Student Activities at the Ministry of Education, Buthaina Al-Mansour, Girls' Education in the Education Sector in the Secretariat, Amira Al-Asiri, and the educational care officer for the women's sector in the Martyrs' Families Commission, Affar Al-Mutawakel, honored 325 winners from grades six to three with commemorative shields and in-kind gifts.
The director of girls' education in the secretariat confirmed that the implementation of the curricular competitions program for the children of martyrs was a translation of the directives of the Revolution Leader to give care and attention to the children of martyrs, especially in the educational aspect.
Al-Asiri reviewed the stages of the methodological competitions, which targeted 3,240 male and female students from grades six to three, and lasted for ten days in three stages, at the end of which 676 students qualified to be honored.
She said that the competitions culminated in a number of tangible outcomes, including following up, strengthening and improving the academic level, opening classes and reinforcement centers for male and female students, and honoring the first children of martyrs at the school, district and Secretariat levels.
