The Minister of Information, Hashem Sharafeddin, visited today the prominent journalist Abdullah Shamsan, one of the most prominent radio voices and television faces in Yemen, to check on his health and in appreciation of his busy career and contributions to the development of Yemeni media.
During the visit, the Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Information, Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti, where Sharaf Al-Din praised Shamsan's contributions to Sana'a Radio since 1966, and Yemeni television since its establishment in 1975, and its national programs that contributed to enriching the media scene.
The minister stressed that this visit comes within the framework of the ministry's keenness to honor old media professionals and appreciate their efforts in building the national media, pointing to the importance of inspecting the conditions of retired media professionals and ensuring that they receive the appreciation they deserve.
For his part, Abdullah Shamsan expressed his thanks and appreciation for this visit, considering that it represents a great moral appreciation that reflects the spirit of loyalty, and motivates other government institutions to interact with the issues of retired media professionals.
