The Agriculture Sector and the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in Raymah Province launched on Wednesday the Coffee Harvest Festival in cooperation with the Cooperative Union of Coffee Producers Associations and Al-Jubain Agricultural Cooperative Association under the slogan "Coffee Development and Marketing is Our Responsibility", under the slogan "Coffee Development and Marketing is Our Responsibility".
At the inauguration in Aden area in Al-Jubain district, the privince's deputy governor, Yaish Al-Dubaibi, emphasized the importance of the festival in expanding the cultivation of coffee, creating a sustainable agricultural renaissance and exceeding the stage of self-sufficiency to export.
He pointed out the importance of protecting Yemeni coffee, supporting , developing the local product and encouraging farmers to expand the cultivation of this important cash crop. Al-Dubaibi also pointed out that Raymah province is famous for its unique coffee cultivation with its flavor and high quality.
For his part, the CEO of the General Organization for Coffee Development and Marketing, Mana Al-Assal, explained that the festival, which coincides with the third anniversary of Al-Azariya Coffee Festival, seeks to make the coffee crop a key pillar of development in Yemen, based on the development and protection of the local crop.
The head of the agriculture sector in the province, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Takroury, and the director of the unit for financing agricultural , fisheries projects and initiatives, Abdulmalik Jahaf, stressed the importance of the festival in encouraging farmers to expand the cultivation of coffee, raise its yield , work to market it locally and internationally.
For his part, the head of the Federation of Coffee Producers Associations, Engineer Muhammad Othman, pointed to the importance of mobilizing efforts and coordination between official bodies , associations to develop the production and marketing of the coffee crop locally , internationally, raise the awareness of farmers, producers , society of the importance of coffee cultivation and its link to the faith identity, which has become one of the main sources of national income for their livelihoods.
