Sana'a University advanced 2624 places in the list of scientific research and publication according to the global classification index "AD SCIENTIFIC INDEX".
The classification results for the year 2024 showed that Sana'a University advanced from 6707th place according to the 2024 classification to 4083rd place for the 2025 classification, to occupy the first place at the Yemeni universities level for the third year in a row, followed by Taiz University, which ranked second locally and 6358th globally, while Dhamar University ranked third locally and 6461st globally.
The President of the University, Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, congratulated all members of the university for these scientific and research achievements, which made the university obtain advanced positions in the global ranking indicators and occupy the first place locally for three consecutive years in the global scientific research and publication list.
He pointed out that this achievement is in addition to the achievements made during the past years, most notably, honoring 124 academics who have had a scientific footprint that raised the name of Yemen high in international forums in the field of scientific research, including 93 academics from the highest cited scientific research at the university according to the AD SCIENTIFIC INDEX 2013" and 31 academics who published their scientific research in ISI and Scopus websites that are distinguished in the field of scientific research.
The AD SCIENTIFIC INDEX is an evaluation system for journals and universities, based on the scientific performance and the added value of the scientific productivity of the participating researchers. It also ranks educational institutions based on the scientific characteristics of the researchers affiliated with them, with their research and scientific publications that qualify their institutions to harvest the highest ranks in the scientific rankings.
