Justice Minister conducts inspection of Hodeida courts, visits Islamic University

HODEIDA September 07. 2024 (Saba) - In a comprehensive tour of judicial facilities in Hodeida province, Minister of Justice and Human Rights Judge Mujahid Abdullah on Saturday carried out an extensive inspection of local courts and visited Dar al-Ulum al-Sharia University.

The Minister's first stop was the Court of Appeal, where he assessed employee discipline and performance. Court chairman Judge Abdullatif Nassar briefed the Minister on the court's operations, including case management and resolution processes.

Judge Abdullah then proceeded to the Commercial Court, where he reviewed workflows and discussed achievements and challenges with Court Chairman Judge Abdulquddus al-Ghazali and Division Head Judge Abdulkarim al-Salmi.

The Minister also examined operations at the Enforcement, Documentation, and Archives Department.

Further stops included the Public Funds Court and the Appeal and Public Funds Prosecutions, where the Minister received detailed explanations of their respective operations.

In a meeting with heads of various courts and divisions, Minister Abdullah emphasized the crucial role of the judiciary in enhancing services and improving administrative processes.

He commended the efforts of judges and court employees while acknowledging the local authority's support in addressing challenges faced by the judiciary.

The Minister assured that the Ministry of Justice is committed to facilitating judicial work and meeting the needs of the province's judiciary within available resources.

He urged court officials to expedite case resolutions and improve access to justice for citizens.

Concluding his tour, Minister Abdullah visited Dar al-Ulum al-Sharia University. There, he reviewed the educational process and the institution's role in producing graduates specializing in Islamic jurisprudence, Quranic sciences, Islamic studies, and Arabic language and literature.

University Rector Sheikh Muhammad Mar'i provided an overview of the university's history and its commitment to teaching moderate religious principles.

This visit underscores the government's commitment to strengthening the judicial system and supporting religious education in Hodeida province.
