In its daily update on the special military operation, the ministry highlighted the successful liberation of Zavetnoye and the destruction of ammunition depots and military equipment, including some Western-made assets. Russian forces have reportedly improved their tactical positions and carried out extensive strikes.
Russian aviation, missile, and artillery units targeted various sites, including an ammunition production facility, a warehouse for unmanned boats, and a temporary deployment point for foreign mercenaries. Additionally, they struck gatherings of Ukrainian forces and military equipment across 136 locations.
Russian air defenses intercepted three American-made ATACMS tactical missiles, five French-made Hummer guided bombs, an Olkha multiple rocket launcher shell, and 27 Ukrainian drones. The Black Sea Fleet also destroyed 11 unmanned boats belonging to Ukrainian forces.
On the Kursk axis, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the elimination of 370 Ukrainian soldiers and the destruction of 17 armored vehicles over the past 24 hours.
Russian forces successfully repelled Ukrainian attempts to infiltrate the Kursk region, with support from army aviation and artillery. They thwarted four attacks on the towns of Matviyevka, Olgovka, Malaya Lukhnya, and Cherkaskoye Borychnoye, and countered attempts to assault the Borka, Kamyshevka, and Marivka axes.
The ministry further noted ongoing reconnaissance and search operations in forested areas to detect and neutralize enemy sabotage groups attempting to infiltrate deeper into Russian territory.
