
OCCUPIED QUDS September 01. 2024 (Saba) - Six hostages were found dead in Rafah south Gaza Strip, Israeli media said on Sunday, as three of the six were listed for release approved by Hamas as part of swap deal with Israel.
It was agreed to exchange the wounded Hirsh and two other prisoners, Ynet quoted a source close to negotiations as saying.
The six were killed on Saturday in a 20-meter-deep tunnel, one km away from the place where Farhan al-Qadhi who escaped and yielded to the Israeli army few days ago, the paper added.
On 4 July, Israel received Hamas's response, the source said, amid "optimism that a deal would be reached within weeks. But few days later, Netanyahu obdurately put new principles."
