
HAJJAH August 30. 2024 (Saba) - The Director of Humanitarian Affairs in Hajjah Allan Fadael Governorate inaugurated the disbursement of cash assistance to the displaced and those affected by the floods in Abs district.
The cash assistance as part of the emergency response campaign targets 896 affected people in Bani Thawab, Harat al-Kahl, al-Hajami, al-Muroor, al-Musalla, and al-Ardhi and al-Kouziyya camps, with the support of CARE.
During the distribution, Fadael explained that this aid aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced people and citizens affected by floods and rains.
He pointed out that during the past two days, cash assistance was distributed to 900 families in villages and different areas in the isolation of Bani Thawab in the district with the support of the Child Care Organization, as well as the distribution of shelter assistance to 734 affected families, and shelter materials to 269 affected families in different locations in the Battaria camps with the support of the Danish Refugee Council.
Fadael indicated that food was distributed to 100 affected families in IDP camps affected by the isolation of Bani Nashr, Al-Madabir and Al-Sawad gathering with the support of Al-Aman Association for the Care of the Blind.
