MOSCOW August 30. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Ministry of Defense on Friday said the losses of Ukrainian forces during the past week amounted to 16,910 military personnel, in addition to dozens of tanks, armored vehicles and weapons.
The ministry said in a statement that Russian forces last week carried out strikes targeting Ukrainian energy facilities supporting Ukrainian military facilities with long-range precision weapons and hypersonic ballistic missiles of the "dagger" model, as well as attacking drones, airport infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, fuel depots, aviation arsenals and artillery ammunition.
On the other hand, Ukrainian army commander Oleksandr Sersky said in remarks that "his country's forces advanced two kilometers during their incursion into the Kursk region in western Russia during the past twenty-four hours."
