NEW YORK August 30. 2024 (Saba) - Nassim Qawawi, Deputy Permanent Representative of Algeria to the United Nations, has called for holding Occupation accountable for its violations of international humanitarian law in Palestine.
In a recent statement, Qawawi criticized the obstruction of humanitarian aid and attacks on humanitarian workers, describing these actions as part of a deliberate policy by the Israeli occupier aimed at demoralizing and humiliating Palestinians.
Qawawi expressed concern about the resurgence of diseases such as cholera in Gaza, attributing the crisis to Israeli actions.
He emphasized that as the occupying power, Israel is responsible for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of vaccination campaigns.
Qawawi also warned against any interference with these campaigns or targeting of their participants.
