
SANA'A August 29. 2024 (Saba) - Social Affairs and Labor Minister Samir Bajala directed the Humanitarian Affairs Sector and the Yemeni Red Crescent to provide urgent and emergency assistance to address the damage to citizens' property as a result of rains and floods.
Minister Bajala explained in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that this comes in response to the Supreme Political Council President's directives and in implementation of the outcomes of the meeting of the Supreme Emergency Committee regarding providing urgent response to areas affected by rain and flood disasters in Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Al-Hodeida, Raymah and Taiz provinces.
He pointed out that the Ministry's leadership is in continuous contact with its offices in the affected areas, present in the field with the Yemeni Red Crescent, regarding its contribution to community initiatives to help the affected, as well as communicating with the Humanitarian Affairs Council, which ensures the continued provision of food, shelter and cash assistance to affected families.
