CAIRO August 28. 2024 (Saba) -The Foreign Affairs Egyptian Ministry confirmed that the Zionist military incursions into the cities of the northern West Bank in Jenin, Tulkarm and Tubas, which led to the martyrdom and injury of many Palestinians, is an insistence on the policy of escalation and expanding the confrontations scope within the Palestinian territories.
The ministry condemned, in a statement published today, Wednesday, "the Zionist attacks against Palestinian civilians in the cities of the West Bank and described it as an insistence on the systematic violation of international law, international humanitarian law and the four Geneva Conventions on the protection the rights of peoples under occupation, and an insistence on the escalation policy and expanding the scope of confrontations within the Palestinian territories.
The statement indicated that "Egypt called for a unified and effective international position that provides protection for the Palestinians", warning of "the grave dangers expected from the ongoing Zionist operations, and the deliberate targeting of more Palestinian civilians, in conjunction with the continued Zionist attacks on Gaza Strip, and the violation of Islamic and Christian sanctities in East Al-Quds.
It stressed that "this matter increases the situation complexity and indicates the Zionist insistence on escalation, and the absence of political will to calm down."
