WINDHOEK August 27. 2024 (Saba) -Namibian authorities have banned a ship carrying arms destined for the Zionist entity from docking at its ports.
Namibian Justice Minister Yvonne Dussab told state media on Tuesday that the ship was stopped because it was carrying “explosive materials destined for Israel.”
Dussab told the New Era newspaper that the MV Catherine, which was due to dock in Walvis Bay on Monday from Vietnam, was stopped in line with Namibia’s support for the Palestinian people and calls for an end to the violence in Gaza.
She stressed that "Namibia complies with its commitment not to support or be complicit in Zionist war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine."
It is worth noting that Israel appeared before the Justice International Court in The Hague for the first time last January, as a defendant in a lawsuit filed by South Africa for committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
