SANA'A August 27. 2024 (Saba) - Minister of Finance Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Mohamed discussed with the capital's Mayor, Dr. Hamoud Obbad, on Tuesday, development efforts within the framework of the Capital Municipality plan for the year 1446 AH.
The meeting, attended by the undersecretaries of the Ministry of Finance for the budget sector, Fouad Al-Kumaim, and the organization and government accounts, Mohamed Amer, stressed the need to focus on service projects whose impact is felt by the citizens and contribute to reducing burdens and providing basic services.
He touched on the emergency plan implemented by the Capital Municipality to confront the damage caused by floods during the last period and its direct and timely handling in cleaning water drainage channels to reduce the flow of water in the streets and neighborhoods of the Municipality.
The meeting stressed the importance of approving a number of caravan and canal projects that will benefit from rainwater, recharge groundwater, and preserve streets and sewage networks.
The meeting reviewed the preparations of the Capital Municipality to receive the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, and to improve its aesthetic appearance in a manner befitting the greatness of this solemn religious occasion.
