MOSCOW August 27. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that Russian forces, using armored vehicles, have stormed Ukrainian positions near Konstantinovka.

According to Sputnik Agency, the primary objective of this assault is to sever supply routes utilized by Ukrainian forces in the Ugledar area.

The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage showing the moment Russian forces launched their rapid, decisive attack, with units from the Russian "East" grouping advancing towards Konstantinovka in Donetsk.

The footage captures intense close-quarters clashes between Russian and Ukrainian forces, with Russian troops attacking and overtaking Ukrainian headquarters and trenches.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian forces conducted a large-scale strike involving high-precision air and sea weapons, operational tactical aircraft, and drones.

These strikes targeted critical energy infrastructure necessary for Ukraine's military-industrial complex.

The ministry’s statement detailed that Russian forces targeted electrical substations across several Ukrainian regions, including Kyiv, Vinnitsa, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Nikolaev, Kirovograd, and Odessa.

Additionally, gas compressor stations in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kharkiv, crucial for the gas transportation system, were also damaged.

Russian forces further targeted storage sites for aviation weapons supplied by Western countries at airports in Kyiv and Dnepropetrovsk.

The Defense Ministry claimed that all intended targets were struck, leading to power outages and disruptions in the rail transport of weapons and ammunition to the front lines.
