
BETHLEHEM August 27. 2024 (Saba) – A general strike has paralyzed Bethlehem governorate in mourning for Khalil Salem Khalawi, a 40-year-old Palestinian who was killed by Zionist settlers' gunfire.
The strike, which affects all sectors except for healthcare, was called by the Palestinian Factions Coordination Committee.
Khalawi, from the village of Wadi Rahhal south of Bethlehem, was fatally shot during an attack on Palestinian homes in his village.
The incident also resulted in moderate injuries to three other individuals.
The strike reflects widespread grief and solidarity within the community following this tragic event.
